The job offered challenges in the form of keeping the building open during works and also the church location of a small village square. The job also saw us working with a range of bodies including English Heritage, Archeologists and conservation architect Jeremy Chadburn. Further to Character Builders work the building has now been removed from the ‘at risk’ register. Many slates were sponsored by members of the local community who engraved their names and in some cases poems, family details or dedications to others.
